Anti-wrinkle treatments are composed of Botulinum toxin type A, which is a purified protein which is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. With age and repetitive muscle activity associated with normal facial expressions, these lines can become static (visible when you are not expressing). Anti-wrinkle treatments involve injecting small amounts of this protein into the muscle responsible for creating the wrinkles. The protein relaxes the muscle which softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
